If you are lucky enough to live in the Sonoran Desert, you are lucky enough

Close-up digital illustration of a green cactus with sharp white and black spines, set against a rusty red background with a pattern of faint cactus shapes.

I don’t always make nature-inspired art, but that is what truly inspires me to create! Luckily, I live in the beautiful Sonoran Desert, a landscape characterized by sky islands and stunning foothills, filled with a bounty of botanical and biological wonders. My home has a wild and wonderful spirit that I love to translate into art! Join me on this journey of desert gratitude and exploration.

Watercolor painting of a desert landscape featuring a tall saguaro cactus, mountains in the background, and sparse desert vegetation.

As a student of, lover of, and third-generation native of the Sonoran Desert, I must express my gratitude and acknowledgement to the tribes whose ancestral and occupied lands I live on, the Tohono O’odham, Pascua Yaqui, Ak-Chin, Hohokam, Akimel O'odham, and Hia-Ced O'odham, and many more who may call this place home. I honor the indigenous people who inhabit this land, past and present. My art is my heart's work, and it is connected to the spirit of those who have and still steward this sacred land that I deeply love.
